I'll be gone, getting married and honeymooning, for the next seventeen days. I trust nothing of any importance will take place in that span, but in case it does, Reihan, my frequent collaborator and erstwhile co-blogger, will be offering pointed commentary in this space. So don't go away.

You're too late, Ross. The gays have already destroyed the institution of marriage. Sorry. People who say such things do not understand the argument and presumably have no interest in understanding the argument. Congrats Ross.
Um, did I miss the part about Ross being engaged?? How did that slip by me? Who's the fortunate woman? Congrats.
Mark Adams quotes and writes: "You're too late, Ross. The gays have already destroyed the institution of marriage. Sorry. People who say such things do not understand the argument and presumably have no interest in understanding the argument." There's Marky flashing his world class sense of humor again. Jeez-ass! Maybe you can send Ross some charts and magic necklaces as a wedding gift, sport.
C'mon Ross. How about a pic of your special lady? Your readers deserve to see your better half
As for the nuptials, congrats, but I hope she (I'm assuming there) keeps her own name. That's one tough handle.
Congratulations, Ross! I wish you all the best.
Congratulations, Ross. Have a good honeymoon. Make sure the wedding band can play "Aquarius."
50 bucks says Ross wears a kilt or at least some plaid-patterned accessories during the ceremony.
You can take away my bachelorhood... but you'll never take my FREEEEEEEEEDOM!
Congratulations!
Congratulations, Ross. According to Stanley Kurtz, you should find the institution undamaged as long as you stay out of Massachussetts or Northern Europe.
Ross, congratulations and best wishes for a sacred and blessed marriage.
That's terrific, Ross! Congratulations, and have a great time. [sorry if this is a duplicate post; my last effort was held up for approval, and I don't know if those emerge from purgatory. I didn't say or link anything bad, I promise!]
Congratulations, Ross. I think it's reflective of your style of blogging and complimentary of you that I did not know that you had a dating life of any sort.
Yeah Ross - congratulations!
Congratulations! More good is done for society through parents than any government could hope.
More good is done for society through parents than any government could hope. She's already pregnant?? Mazel tov!
Congratulations! After reading your book privilege I figured you'd be deep within your 40's before the lack of social skills there described allowed you to get someone to marry you. In all seriousness have a wonderful time and I look forward to Reihan.
Ross,
Hey Ross, Congratulations. Who is it? I actually went to school with you, funnily enough, so I may know the name.
Congratulations, Ross. A bit of advice, from my wedding. 1. The ring goes on the LEFT hand. 2. Make sure to shave that morning. 3. Make sure to use the "Wives, be subordinate to your husbands..." reading, just to tweak everyone. 4. Same with the Psalm. Use the one that says, "Blessed are those who fear the Lord". Fear and subordination: the ideal themes for a wedding, and for marriage itself!
I'M STILL WAITING FOR ROSS TO DEFEND THE TRU... oh, wait. Never mind. Congratulations!
Joe Marier writes: "Same with the Psalm. Use the one that says, "Blessed are those who fear the Lord". Fear and subordination: the ideal themes for a wedding, and for marriage itself!" I happen to know the bride's a Wiccan and the ceremony will take place in the woods and will be officiated over by a Druid. Revise your witticisms accordingly.
Congratulations. And I join with those who applaud you for keeping this a secret until now. Joe Marier has obviously never seen a picture of Ross's already-hirsute self. P.S. to Mark: I've always wondered ever since I first saw your names as a poster at Amy Welborn's, and this seems like as good a time as any to ask - You're not the same Mark Adams who was once a walk-on for the PC Friars, are you?
Moe: I stand corrected. In that case, the ring goes on the RIGHT hand. James: I have, in fact, seen Ross' hirsute self. It's why I gave the advice! I mean, I have a little facial hair (I'm trendy), but if I was getting married tomorrow, I wouldn't.
Jame Kabala, Afraid not . . . although that sounds like a pretty cool Mark Adams.
I saw the wedding announcement. Mazel tov!!
Good site! I'll stay reading! Keep improving!

You're too late, Ross. The gays have already destroyed the institution of marriage. Sorry.
Seriously, though, congratulations. Enjoy yourselves.
