Christine Rosen on social networking and narcissism.

The Derb explains why he is not an Islamophobe.

Peter Galbraith on Iran's strategic victory.

If you missed the Labash-Ferguson one-two punch in the last two issues of the Standard, you should remedy that oversight.

And while I'm definitely on the "Hillary probably can't be stopped" bandwagon, and I think the parallels between 1980 and 2008 can be counted on the fingers of Homer Simpson's left hand, it is remarkable how quickly conventional wisdom can get up-ended in American politics.

Thanks for linking to Derb's essay. An interesting, nuanced piece, rare to discussions of this subject.

Derb seems laconic and dark as pitch lately - he recently used "the vale of tears" metaphor for life, for instance. He rarely says anything on The Corner now, perhaps because Ledeen and company have set up shop there again. You want to give the guy a hug.

he's moving over his website to a new content management system and playing around with some web dev tools. so his marginal time might be consumed by that.
