Obama's website is reporting that they've secured the endorsement and that he'll be formally accepting on Friday. I can't see the Culinary Union switching now, especially since the NH primary was an effective tie.

The SEIU pickup is a big one for Obama, and one that was supposed to go to Edwards.

Somebody needs to explain to the Culinary Workers Union that there is a difference between an endorsement and attaching yourself to a winner. What a pathetic - and revealing - display of cowardice.

Even if they had switched to Clinton, you could hardly consider such an action "unprincipaled." A union's first principal, it's raison d'etre, is the economic interests of its members. If you think Candidate X is likely to become president, and winning her gratitude helps you in the long run, I'd say you're being perfectly consistent, even if Candidate X's campaign staff includes the odd union-basher.

Maybe in a decade or three Ross will stop using Fox News and Rush Limbaugh as reliable sources... but I guess some habits die hard. I wonder what kind of posters he had up on his wall at HARVARD, and how frequently he asked the union workers there how big their TVs were...

The Culinary Workers Union may be flip-floppers? What a shock, a corrupt union. I don't see how Obama can beat these characters: Bill golfs on Jupiter with the GOP war profiteers - remember when he tripped and hurt his knee in the middle of the night in America's most expensive zip code: 33455?
And then he moves on to play in Boca Raton, where the mobsters running Vegas, the unions, and...anyway, Bill prefers the links on Jupiter.
Obama needs a golf cart.
Jupiter is a pretty macabre place, where Tom DeLay, Rush Limbaugh, Vernon Jordan, various Bushies, and the CEOs of Bechtel, KBR, Halliburton, United Health, and a wide-range of corporate chieftans zip around and talk about how creepy Rupert Murdoch is - but admire his True Grit.
The Clintons have Obama under 24-hr. surveillance, waiting for a George Allen misstep.
