While a very small percentage of the Iowan people exercise their disproportionate influence over the American presidency this evening, I will be attending a screening of There Will Be Blood. (It seemed an appropriate choice.) If you're looking for more up-to-the-minute reaction than I can provide, you know where to find it.

I saw it last week, and its pretty great. I know some people think its a little over the top (especially the ending), but I loved it. It's definitely a pessimistic movie, though. Watching it one night after Before the Devil Knows You're Dead did not make for a life-affirming weekend.

Lucky.
It is supposed to be excellent - Academy award -certainty, type excellent.
Bar none- Daniel Day Lewis turns in the most consistently intense performances of any actor.
