I don't believe we're seeing a "Wilder Effect," for the reasons Matt outlines and some others. But Geraghty's right - it's crazy how off-the-mark every single poll turned out to be.

There are a lot of possible reasons for why polls are off that don't often get talked about: it may well be in part that Clinton just had a far superior bunch of folks wrasslin up votes and getting them to the polls. Her machine has had decades of practice, and she had the pick of some of the best talent early on back when Obama was still wavering.
