Please tell the powers that be that the shift away from offering a direct MP3 link is really quite irritating. I would strongly prefer not to use iTunes and do not have access to it at work.

Judging from the polls, there's at least some possibility that the whole controversy over Obama's comments will remain an elite phenomenon. It's still early, but it looks like the voters have thus far refused to take instruction from their media betters and get offended over this kerfuffle.

So it's bizarre to me that you and Ambinder are still so cocksure about the potential implications here.
