As if Ambinder's "hey, look at me, I'm an actual reporter" shtick weren't bad enough, now Jeff Goldberg is trying to show up the rest of the Atlantic bloggers by conducting actual interviews with presidential candidates.

Looks to me like Obama is going to try to play in Florida after all. Gallup has him up against McCain by 30 odd points amongst Jewish voters.
Of course Obama is winning among Jewish voters. Jewish voters aren't idiots.
Ross: did you think that was a good interview?
It's too bad Goldberg doesn't allow comments. I was impressed by one crafty omission on the part of Obama: when discussing Jewish thinkers who influenced him, he left out the one who would seem to have had the most influence on him (Saul Alinksy). No need to bring that guy up when you're positioning yourself for the general election.
Oh God. Obama must have a strong stomach to sit down with that dishonest, war enabling chump and field his "Why does Hamas like you so much?" questions.

I guess "real reporters" are too scared of criticism to allow comments on their blogs. And did Jimmy Carter actually suggest that Israel, and not just the Occupied Palestinian Territories, "resembles an apartheid state" - or is Goldberg using journalistic licence? After all, it is not as if the Israeli Prime Minister has not used similar verbiage.
