Moynihan's response is much more vicious than the comment of the person who criticized McArdle. Maybe it's just because the subject matter is so harmless (Sweden: very great or merely pretty great?), but I found Moynihan's meanness off-putting, even granting that Moynihan probably knows much more about Sweden than his adversary.
