A somewhat persuasive, extremely prolix exegesis of the Sopranos finale. (via THND)

With the success of the Sex and the City movie, it is clear that Tony was NOT whacked and will ride again in a Hollywood blockbuster in 2010.

Ben - Nice.

Barring Ben’s premonition.

I don’t agree with the THND analysis. I believe the ending simply reflected the tension of the dichotomy the Tony lives/lived under for his entire life.

That is - the ever present threat of violence juxtaposed to the security of close familial relations.

The filmmaker is simply saying that this reality will continue for the Sopranos as it always has.

Wow, I'm speechless. What an amazing analysis. Thank you for the link.

Kind of puts this campaign commercial in a whole new context: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BfkRjvAYuOc

Guy makes a whale of a case. With sufficient determination, one can interpret this any way one chooses, but if one goes where the story points, rather than where one merely wishes to go, the way is clearly marked.
